It was still a bit too hot. Fuji stirred absentmindedly in the black substance in the cup, the spoon hitting the sides every now and then, the soft sound rejoining the rather odd music that found its way out from speakers hidden away from clear sight.

It was rather strange actually, but somehow he felt as if he was starting to settle down in the city, and that thought in itself was frightening. He had no plans on striking up a living here, quite far from it actually, but the human nature had this knack of adapting to new environments quite easily, and he was fairly sure this was the case right now.

He knew ever corner of the apartment he shared with Eiji by now, could even navigate inside it with all the lights out, as proven the other night when a nightmare had woken him up and he went up to get some water, keeping the lights off to keep from waking Eiji up. The other boy had slept soundly and Fuji had had no intention of doing something to startle him from whatever nice dream he might be having.

Eiji had mumbled in his sleep, something about some John... Fuji still had to ask the redhead who John was, but somehow he had never really remembered to do so when confronted with Eiji the next morning. Well, it wasn't all that important either, and since then he had always been thinking that he'd ask him later, when the opportunity seemed right.

The nightmares had started to come more frequently after arriving at the City. That was rather alarming, especially since he was sharing the apartment with someone, that someone being Eiji of all people, but there seemed to be little he could do to stop it. He couldn't control his subconsciousness after all, he doubted anyone could.

He tried to sip the coffee and it seemed like it was about the right temperature. Good.
